Biography
Jen Olsen is a native Iowan whose hometown is Davenport,IA. Jen received a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Iowa State University and started her career in manufacturing working for Procter&Gamble in Iowa City, IA. During her career at P&G Jen led logistics, Project Management and Work Process Improvement Teams. After 18 years at P&G, Jen joined the executive team of various Iowa Companies leading teams in spice manufacturing, trucking, and on-line e-commerce. Jen has been a project manager for NextEra energy for the last 4 years leading large scale battery storage projects with a focus on permitting and early stage engineering. Jen has a passion for education and has served on the school board of her children's school for 6 years including 4 as president. In addition she worked as an ambassador with a grassroots organization to help pass school choice in Iowa.
What is the most inspiring part of your job?
I'm very excited to bring Hillsdale and the K-12 classical curriculum to my home state!
