What is the most inspiring part of your job?
Having served as a classroom teacher for over a decade, one of my greatest joys is helping others experience growth and success. In my current role, that often takes the form of conversations with teachers and leaders where we honestly face the challenges inherent in education and strive for the best solutions which honor those we are committed to teaching and leading. One of my favorite moments is when the path towards a solution becomes clear and the excitement about what is possible overshadows the difficulty of the task. I am blessed to be a co-laborer in this work.
Favorite classical quote:
“Your ability to control your thoughts–treat it with respect. It’s all that protects your mind from false perceptions–false to your nature, and that of all rational beings. It’s what makes thoughtfulness possible, and affection for other people, and submission to the divine.” Marcus Aurelius, Meditations
