Director of Teacher Support

B.S., Biology, Hillsdale College

Becky is the Director of Teacher Support for the Hillsdale College K-12 Education Office. She joined the K-12 Office in 2014, and has held roles in the areas of school founding, curriculum development, event planning, and teacher coaching. She currently leads the Teacher Support Team, consisting of instructional coaches, trainers in classical pedagogy, and master teachers--together, this team comprises over 150 years of combined teaching and school leadership experience. The Teacher Support team advises schools, leaders, and teachers on the Hillsdale K-12 Best Practices, especially in the areas of curriculum, pedagogy and school culture. Prior to joining the K-12 office, Becky taught middle and high school science and served as the science department chair and director of student activities at The Vanguard School in Colorado Springs, Colorado. 

What is the most inspiring part of your job?
"The opportunities to visit classrooms and work with teachers allow me to see the mission playing out in real time. I am inspired every time I see the teachers leading their students through the curriculum."
