Mrs. Listro has garnered an eclectic and broad portfolio of teaching experiences over the last 25 years. From homeschooling her own 5 children for most of their educational careers, including graduating 3 of them from home, to teaching multi-grade classrooms in a small school in the Amazon jungle, Mrs. Listro has infused her classrooms with a passion for languages and grammar. With an undergraduate degree in French and linguistics and a graduate degree in Classical Education from the University of Dallas, Mrs. Listro continues to inspire students and teachers alike to journey into the marvelous world of linguistics. She joined the Barney Charter School Initiative in 2017 and taught in a classical classroom for several years before serving as a founding dean for Northwest Classical Academy in Kennesaw, GA. As she joins the team of literacy trainers, she is also entering her third year as Lower School Principal at NCA.
