B.S. and M.E., Early Childhood Education, Kennesaw State University.
Mrs. McLain is the Mathematics Department Chair at Northwest Classical Academy in Kennesaw, Ga where she teaches 7th grade math. Right out of college, she taught for local county public school systems until becoming a mom. Once her children were school age, she began seeking something more out of the schooling they were being provided. Something was just missing. She found Northwest in its inaugural year and fell in love with the classical approach. The richness of culture and curriculum unlocked a passion within her, as an educator and a mom. Helping students discover the beauty in mathematics and being a part of starting a new school has been a very rewarding adventure.
