The daughter of a U.S. Navy sailor, Grace Hambleton has lived all over the world. These countries have included Spain and Italy in her toddlerhood to first grade and then the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in her high school and undergraduate years. Her own travels through education have included public and charter schools and home education, and it was through her home education that she experienced the classical telos and began to understand the failings of the U.S. public education system. She had the opportunity to teach first grade at a charter school in Hillsdale, Michigan for the 2021/22 school year and that experience drove home the need for an entire education system that understands, agrees with, and implements classical philosophy and pedagogy. She has been blessed, in her time at Hillsdale College, to strengthen and build upon the classical foundation from her own education and is excited to re-join the world of K-12 education.

Vision
Having grown up with siblings and friends with special needs, my heart lies with that community. I hope to one day open a school that marries classical education and its telos with special education, creating an environment where students with neurodivergences can more easily fit in and be comfortable. I have seen firsthand how Progressive education in many ways can harm all children, but how it can especially harm and stunt those students with special needs. I believe that classical education can provide a means of enabling those students to not simply survive in our world, but to thrive, and to truly come to a fuller knowledge of our world and what it is to be human.
